FAQ
How to create a musicomb (request)?
To create a musicomb (request), first, you need to register and verify your account (you get an email with verification link). Once you have registered and verified your account on Musicbeez, follow the steps below:
  1. Go to the Create page from the top bar
  2. Find and select the original song you want to be created
  3. Find and select the artist you want to cover the song
  4. If there is no musicomb (request) with these parameters on Musicbeez, you are able to create it
  5. If there is an ongoing musicomb (request) with these parameters already on Musicbeez, you are not able to create a duplicate request but only join the existing request
  6. If there is a failed musicomb (request) with these parameters, you are able to create a new/duplicate musicomb (request)
What to do if I cannot find the song I want to be covered?
In case you cannot find the original song you want to be covered, it is highly likely that we have not added it to the database yet.
You can still create a musicomb (request) with a song that is not in the database. To do that click “Can’t find a song?” button and fill in the form with the original artist name, song title, original version’s YouTube link and select the artist you want to cover that song.
Once you click submit we receive your request and do our best to resolve it within 24 hours. We will add the song into the database and create a musicomb (request) on your behalf for the date and time when you submitted the request as if you created the musicomb yourself using the create musicomb form.
All other users who request us to create a musicomb with exactly the same parameters as you do, who submitted their requests after you did will automatically join your request. If someone has already requested us to create a musicomb with exactly the same parameters as you did, we will create a musicomb based on their request and you will automatically be joined to that request.
What to do if I cannot find the artist I want to cover a song?
Unfortunately, there is no way for you to create a musicomb with an artist who has not registered on Musicbeez or who we have not added to the database. We can hope that the artist you want to cover a song will register on Musicbeez one day.
But hey! If there is any way for you to reach the artist, you may ask them to register on Musicbeez!
What to do if it asks me to pledge money when I want to create/join a musicomb?
There might be a case when you are asked to pledge money to create a request. This means that the artist you have selected to cover the song has set the minimum amount to be raised by their fans for her to consider their request. The artist will only be able to accept your request if it raises the minimum total amount set by the artist.
What are the minimum and the maximum amount I can pledge to create/join a musicomb (request)?
At the moment the amount you can pledge to create/join a musicomb (request) that requires you to pledge money can be between 1 Great Britain Pound and 50 Great Britain Pound.
Who can see/join a musicomb (request) I created?
If the artist you have chosen as the cover artist of your musicomb is a verified artist with a blue tick next to her name on her artist profile or if she has a blue star next to her name on her artist profile, then all other users of Musicbeez will be able to see your musicomb (request) in their ‘Fresh Musicombs’ feed.
If the artist you have chosen as the cover artist of your musicomb has neither a blue tick nor a blue star next to their name on their artist profile, then your musicomb (request) will be visible to only those users of Musicbeez, who either follow that artist on Musicbeez or visit the artist’s profile or tries to create a musicomb (request) identical to yours.
No matter whether the artist you have chosen as the cover artist of your musicomb (request) does or does not have a blue tick or a blue star next to her name on her artist profile, whoever sees your musicomb will be able to join it.
When I want to create/join a musicomb (request) it asks me to pledge money, what should I do?
If you are asked to pledge money to create/join a musicomb (request), it means the artist who is chosen as the cover artist of the musicomb has set the minimum total amount to be raised by their fans in order for her to consider their request.
If you are happy to pledge money to support a musicomb (request) you have to add your card details through the ‘Edit profile’ page. You can pledge any amount from 1 Great Britain Pound to 50 Great Britain Pound to support the musicomb (request).
The money will be deducted from your account only if and when the artist accepts the musicomb (request). An artist is not able to accept a request if it fails to raise the minimum amount set by the artist.
